organization provides confidential emotional support to any person who is
suicidal or despairing. They also work to increase public awareness of issues

(The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention) - AFSP provides a
state-by-state listing of survivor support groups. This foundation also provides a comprehensive
Information Guide for recently bereaved survivors, upon request. AFSP further holds survivor
conferences and trainings for group facilitators. They additionally do
extensive research in the area of suicide prevention.
